Hirohiko Araki’s Comment
Prince really perfected such a unique and stylish musical art form. I want to experience the time when that was taking place. It’s also divine that this film is being released on His Highness’s birthday.

Araki and Prince coincidentally share the same birthday, June 7, though Araki was born 2 years after. “His Highness” is a common nickname for Prince among Japanese fans.
Araki has always loved Prince’s music, with his songs influencing various aspects of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series. For example, one of Muhammad Avdol‘s chickens is named “Prince“, Josuke Higashikata‘s favorite musician is Prince, Giorno Giovanna, JoJolion‘s Josuke Higashikata, and Yasuho Hirose‘s Stands have names based on Prince songs (Gold Experience, Soft & Wet, Paisley Park), and some of the noises in Prince’s music influenced the onomatopoeia in Araki’s manga.
