The official X account for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: The Animation announced today that they will stream their JOJODAY event online on ABEMA. Unfortunately for overseas viewers, the site warns that regions outside of Japan cannot watch the stream. JOJODAY is a fan event that “connects the past and future of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure animation series”. It will be taking place on April 12, 2025 at the Yoyogi 2nd National Gymnasium in Shibuya, Tokyo. The event begins at 6 PM JST, with the stream opening an hour earlier. In celebration of JOJODAY, several other events are taking place in Shibuya as well.
In addition to the guests announced previously, the comedian and actor Kendo Kobayashi will be the MC of the event. Kobayashi has been in several JoJo events. He went on a pilgrimage tour around the world with fellow comedian Kunihiro Kawashima to follow the path of the Joestar Group in Stardust Crusaders. The TV program titled Kendo Kobayashi & Yaseibakudan Cookie’s JoJo Journey started airing on April 27, 2019. Kobayashi was also a guest in the All-Star Battle and Eyes of Heaven tournaments, as well as videos for JOJO’s Bizarre Quizzes 500.
JOJODAY Ticket Costs
The stream costs 5,900 yen (around $39-$40 USD). The “JOESTAR The Inherited Soul” event which announced the Stone Ocean anime in April 2021 had cost 4,400 yen, which was also the same amount in USD with the exchange rate at the time. However, for users who use the ABEMA app rather than the browser, there is an additional fee of 1,200 yen, making the ticket cost 7,100 yen.
In comparison, the tickets for in-person seats costs 9,900 yen (~$65 USD). They are currently holding a lottery sale for in-person tickets until March 2, 2025. After that, general tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis from March 8 onward.
After Talk
Everyone who purchases the “pre-sale ticket with benefits” on ABEMA before March 16, 2025 ends will get access to the event’s “After Talk”. The After Talk will be distributed on a dedicated page around 8:30 PM JST on April 12.
