Sentinel’s new figure is based on the iconic scene at the end of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure‘s first part, Phantom Blood. For those unfamiliar with the series, spoilers follow below.
“JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Phantom Blood FIGURE MUSEUM Jonathan & Dio” is a 1/8 scale figure. It costs 18,000 Japanese yen (~$118.98 USD). It is scheduled to release in September 2024. Pre-orders are now open in Japan at the Sentinel Store and other merchandise shops.

The bizarre destinies of the two, “Jonathan” and “Dio”, intertwinedā¦and then became one. The climactic confrontation is rendered in elaborate detail as a three-dimensional figure. The gear-shaped base that displays the figure can connect to others in the series. Their bizarre fates are set in motion now!

The referenced scene takes place in Chapter 44 of the manga and Episode 9 of the anime. The main villain and vampire, Dio Brando, fatally injures his adoptive brother, Jonathan Joestar, during the latter’s honeymoon voyage. Jonathan holds his brother’s head in his arms as he passes away, just before the ship explodes.

An anime adaptation of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure released starting from October 2012. Season 1 covers Phantom Blood in its first 9 episodes. There is also a live action musical which premiered in 2024.
