Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan: Short Story Collection will be receiving two new short stories by Katsuie Shibata on April 19, 2024, bundled with the May 2024 issue of Ultra Jump. In addition, the Lisa Lisa spin-off story, El Aleph, will be compiled into a light novel releasing on April 18, 2024. At the same time, The JOJOLands‘s third volume will be releasing on April 18 as well.
Shueisha announced the news in the April 2024 issue of Ultra Jump, released on March 19, 2024.
Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan: Short Story Collection
The upcoming release is the fifth collection of short stories. The stories accompany the Ultra Jump magazine in a small separate paperback booklet. The author of the new stories, Katsuie Shibata, previously wrote Nirya Island, American Buddha, A Long Dream in One Night, and more.
Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan: Short Story Collection is an anthology of short stories based on Hirohiko Araki‘s Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan series. The August and September 2017 issues of Ultra Jump included the first and second booklet collections. Later, Shueisha released the third in the January 2018 issue, and the fourth in the November 2021 issue. Ballad Kitaguni, Ryo Yoshigami, Yusuke Iba, and Mirei Miyamoto wrote the previous stories, all revolving around the adventures of Rohan Kishibe from Diamond is Unbreakable.
JUMP j BOOKS compiled the stories from each booklet into three volumes released between 2018 and 2022. Check out our wiki page for more info and summaries of each story.
Las extrañas aventuras de JOJO: El Aleph
El Aleph, which can also be translated as JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Infinity King, is a story written by Junjo Shindo. It was originally titled La Extraña Aventura de JOJO: rey infinito and had three arcs consisting of twenty chapters published in the Spring 2022, Winter 2022, and Winter 2023 issues of JOJO magazine. The story takes place between Battle Tendency and Stardust Crusaders in 1973-1986, detailing the life of Lisa Lisa and two Guatemalan orphans. Working for the Speedwagon Foundation, Lisa Lisa becomes involved with Stand users and an infinite night in the Amazon jungle.
The three arcs will now be compiled into a physical and digital novel release.
The JOJOLands
The JOJOLands is the ninth part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure by Hirohiko Araki. It began serialization on February 17, 2023 in the March 2023 issue of Ultra Jump. Set in Hawaii, it involves Jodio Joestar and his elder sibling Dragona Joestar working as small-time gangsters. Jodio describes it as being a tale of him becoming extremely rich.
It takes place in the same continuity as the seventh and eighth parts of the series, Steel Ball Run and JoJolion. The first two volumes released on August 18, 2023 and December 19, 2023 respectively. The third volume will be 192 pages, including Chapters 9 to 12.
In addition, Hirohiko Araki will illustrate the cover of the next Ultra Jump issue.
