JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure creator Hirohiko Araki recommends the new manga “Love, Revenge, and Such” (愛だとか復讐だとか Ai da toka Fukushū da toka), by Michiki Hiroi. Araki’s comment is displayed on the obi strip of Volume 1, which released a few days ago in Japan on January 17, 2025.
About “Love, Revenge, and Such”
One day, Kaede Koshiba’s morning began with an unsettling sense of discomfort. As his family and high school classmates mentioned events he had no memory of, Kaede realized that his body was swapping every other day with a girl he had never met—Yuka Tsutsumi. Just as he and Yuka decided to work together to solve this mysterious phenomenon, Kaede’s everyday life took a sudden and drastic turn.

Michiki Hiroi’s previous one-shot, Swimming Fish, was a runner-up in the Araki Hirohiko Manga Award in 2021, which Araki praised for having an interesting composition. Also, in 2014, there was a contest to come up with a catchphrase for each JoJonium volume. Hiroi’s submission won and was printed on the obi of Volume 5: “A mysterious teacher?! Today’s lesson is the Ripple!!” (謎の女教師！？授業教科は波紋ッッ！！)
