English Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan Blu-ray Releases on July 18, 2023

VIZ Media is releasing a limited edition English Blu-ray for the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan OVAs on July 18, 2023.

VIZ Media is releasing limited edition English Blu-rays of the Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan OVAs on July 18, 2023. In Japan, it released on March 25, 2020.

The Blu-ray contains all four episodes of the OVA: Millionaire Village, Mutsu-kabe Hill, The Run, and At a Confessional.

Packaged inside the box is a 20 page booklet that contains commentary from the director Toshiyuki Kato, the chief animation director Shunichi Ishimoto, model sheets, and more. In addition, the Blu-ray has the opening and ending songs and trailers.

Exclusive to this edition is an interview with Landon McDonald, the English voice actor of Rohan Kishibe in the OVAs.

About Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan

Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan is a manga spin-off series of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. It features the part 4 character Rohan Kishibe as the protagonist, who experiences several paranormal encounters.

The series started publication in 1997 and continues to this day. As of 2023, it consists of a dozen independent short stories involving Rohan. The chapters have been published in several different magazines over the years.

David Production animated the OVAs. The first animated episode was mailed to those who purchased the entirety of the Diamond is Unbreakable Blu-ray or DVD set before July 31, 2017. The second episode released on July 19, 2018 with the second manga volume. The third and fourth episodes released on Blu-ray and DVD on March 25, 2020.

In 2020, NHK began adapting the series in TV drama format. The series has three seasons with 8 episodes in total, broadcasted from 2020 to 2022. It received good reception and won a Galaxy Award in 2020.
