Six DVD volumes of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean anime are now available to rent in Japan as of July 29, 2022. The DVDs are being published by Klockworx and offered by the GEO Corporation, a Japanese company that provides DVDs, CDs, comics, and video games.
Each DVD contains two episodes, giving them a duration of 50 minutes each. According to the website, there will be 19 volumes in total. This means that the Stone Ocean anime will have 38 episodes in total when the third cour releases. The previous anime seasons, Diamond is Unbreakable and Golden Wind, had 39 episodes. Those two seasons have 20 volumes on GEO’s store, with the final volume only containing the 39th episode.
Fans that live in Japan can rent the DVDs here. GEO is also holding a gift campaign period for Stone Ocean until August 28, 2022. The prizes are a Jolyne Nendoroid figure for 3 people, a Jolyne “BIG” acrylic stand for 5 people, a Jolyne “Chimi-Chara” badge for 5 people, and a Jolyne acrylic keychain for 5 people. Those living in Japan could apply for the gifts using the GEO app on Android or iOS.[Source: GEO Online]
Furthermore, in June 2022, Netflix had been accidentally displaying that Stone Ocean has 38 episodes in certain regions. JJBE user Minedor noticed it first in Israel. Other users living in Saudi Arabia and Turkey also confirmed that it was displaying an episode count of 38 for them rather than 12. However, Netflix ended up fixing this in early July.
