The December 2022 issue of Ultra Jump that released on November 17, 2022 in Japan reveals some of the contents of the upcoming Winter 2022 issue of JOJO magazine. JOJO magazine 2022 WINTER will release on December 19 this year. Shueisha announced the issue last month on October 19.
The Witness for the Gang
The Witness for the Gang (ギャング側の証人) will be a new short story featuring the stories of Squalo and Tizzano. Squalo and Tizzano (alternatively spelled “Tiziano”) are minor antagonists from the fifth part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Vento Aureo (Golden Wind).
The duo are members of the Italian Mafia gang called Passione. They are specifically part of Unità Speciale, an elite subdivision of the gang.
Keiji Ando is the author of the story. He previously wrote the light novels The Magnificent Kotobuki: 1001 Nights in the Wilderness, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin – Kokorowa Rice Cultivation Journal, and Kaiju No. 8: Close-up! The Third Division.
The official English title for the story is currently unknown, but the Japanese title seems to be referencing Agatha Christie’s short story The Witness for the Prosecution. It’s also possible that the story may use an Italian title when it is published.
rey infinito
rey infinito (無限の王) by Junjo Shindo began in the Spring 2022 issue of JOJO magazine that released on March 19. The story is set between Battle Tendency and Stardust Crusaders in 1973. Lisa Lisa now leads the Paranormal Phenomena Section of the Speedwagon Foundation. Thus, she goes to Antigua, Guatemala to investigate the identity of a serial killer who has a Stand ability.
Its first part covered the “Guatemala Arc” and ended with “To Be Continued”. It will be continuing in the Winter 2022 issue of JOJO magazine. It also includes a new Lisa Lisa artwork by Hirohiko Araki.
Hirohiko Araki’s Manga Techniques Sequel
Hirohiko Araki’s Manga Techniques (titled Manga in Theory and Practice: The Craft of Creating Manga in the official English release) will be getting a sequel. The first book released in Japan on April 17, 2015, and in America on June 13, 2017.
In the first book, Araki discusses the techniques used for creating manga, along with developing stories and world-building. The sequel will expand on the “golden path” of how to create manga.

Stickers
Like the previous issue of JOJO magazine, this issue will include a set of two stickers. One of them includes a full illustration of the cover art with the Joestars from Parts 1-8 (including Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, and Giorno Giovanna, who aren’t visible on the front cover). The second sticker features the new Lisa Lisa art for rey infinito.

Shueisha published the first issue of JOJO magazine in Spring on March 19, 2022. It commemorated the 35th anniversary of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. This issue primarily featured a new Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan one-shot by Araki, Iggy the Stray Dog by Otsuichi, the first arc of rey infinito by Junjo Shindo, and several interviews with cast and staff members related to the series.
