Welcome to the 1st Year in Review for JoJo’s Bizarre Encyclopedia, where we will look back on the insights and analytics for the wiki and JoJo-News in 2022.
In 2022, the wiki achieved 31,085,255 pageviews. In comparison, the site achieved 27,896,940 pageviews in 2021. The difference of about 3.1 million is most likely thanks to the Stone Ocean anime and news for The JOJOLands. In 2020, the site received 18,224,652 pageviews. We publicly launched the site on November 23, 2019, and the wiki received 737,765 pageviews that year. Thus, our userbase is steadily growing quickly.
This news site launched on September 22, 2021 and its articles received 188,653 views that year. In 2022, we achieved 1,574,250 views and 319 comments.

Otherwise, the Stand list, character list, and main page would be the top 3 pages every year. Pageviews for characters that have sub-tabs (such as their gallery, history, and game pages) have been merged together.
Most Popular Media in 2022
JORGE JOESTAR remained as one of the most popular media last year, despite releasing in 2012. The page is frequently in our top 25 pages each year. Stone Ocean‘s manga page received a massive boost in popularity due to the anime. The results for The JOJOLands, Crazy Diamond’s Demonic Heartbreak (CDDH), and All-Star Battle R are expected since the first had news come out in December and the latter two are new and popular releases.

Countries
The majority of our wiki users are in the United States of America, having over 1.5 million more users than the other countries in the top 5. The remaining countries in the top ten are Brazil, Russia, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Philippines, Germany, Indonesia, and Australia.
Japan ranks 23rd with 31,433 users which is nice considering we don’t have any pages translated to Japanese, though it would be great if we could have that in the future.
Fun fact: We had 44 users from Papua New Guinea in 2022, which is possibly one of the settings in JoJo Part 9 based on hints in JoJolion.

If a country is not listed here, then it didn’t have enough views or users within the top 60 countries based on pageviews for the wiki.
The countries in the images below are ordered based on their number of views and users. Overall, Jolyne, Jotaro, Jonathan, and The JOJOLands dominated most of the top 5 in each country. However, there are a few unique ones like France having The World as #1, Philippines having Hayato Kawajiri as #1, and Japan having Funny Valentine as #1 and Hot Summer Martha as #3. It’s also interesting to see Lisa Lisa and rey infinito in Mexico’s top 5 since the story takes place in South America.

Google Analytics provided a small sample of our user demographics. 73.4% of users are male and 61.59% are between 18 to 24 years old, which is not surprising.
JoJodle
The JoJodle game which we started on February 6, 2022 is our most popular page on JoJo-News. It received 214,560 views in 2022.

Interviews in 2022
In 2022, we were able to publish interviews we did with two people involved with the anime and two people involved with the manga. In 2021, we interviewed Reki Taki (one of Araki’s former assistants and a background artist in the anime) and Kira Buckland (the English voice actress of Jolyne Cujoh).
In 2022, our @jojo_wiki Twitter account gained around 14,000 followers, jumping from around 45,000 to over 59,000. The Twitter account for logging our news articles, @jojowikinews, gained around 5,239 followers, having around 6,400 in total.
